Ikkis Movie 2026 Storyline
The film chronicles the heroic and tragic life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal (Agastya Nanda), who became the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra at age 21.
The Battle: The core of the film focuses on the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 War, where Arun’s “Famagusta” tank squadron faced overwhelming odds.
The Emotional Arc: Uniquely, the film frames the story through a later timeline (2001), where Arun’s father, Brigadier Madan Lal Khetarpal (Dharmendra), visits Lahore, Pakistan. He meets Brigadier Jaan Mohammad Nisar (Jaideep Ahlawat), the very man who pulled the trigger that killed his son.
The “Anti-War” Lens: Rather than “chest-thumping” nationalism, the film explores the shared grief and humanity on both sides of the border, ending with a powerful, quiet dialogue between the two fathers.
